Dramatic Twilight

This painting was inspired by a visit to Green Bay, Wisconsin a few years ago. As the sun was setting, a friend and I were walking along the shore, and between systems of clouds, a bit of bright sunlight broke through the sky. That vivid glow among so many dark clouds struck me, and I captured the moment with my camera, knowing that I could later capture it in a painting.
